According to SamMobile, the company had released the June 2024 security update for Galaxy devices. After this, the company has decided to stop support for three models. This includes Samsung Galaxy A51 5G, Galaxy A41 and Galaxy M01. All three smartphones were launched between March and June 2020. In such a situation, all these smartphones were to get regular security updates for four years. The company has stopped the security update of these smartphones after the stipulated limit has been completed.
The decision was taken because of this
According to the report, Galaxy A51 5G received Android OS upgrades. All three models were launched with Android 10. But now it is running on Android 13. At the same time, Galaxy A41 and Galaxy M01 received two Android OS. Both these models were also introduced with Android 10. But now they are running on Android 12.
Users will not face any problem
Let us tell you that there will be no problem in using these smartphones even if they do not get security updates. However, if security is not available, many types of security loopholes open up for attackers. If there is any serious problem in the future, the company may provide new updates, the possibility of which is being considered less.
